Standard rides
Pricing is based on distance, estimated time and demand in your area. You see an estimated fare in chat before confirming the trip.
Parcels & errands
Small parcel deliveries and store collections are quoted per trip. Share pickup & drop-off details and we’ll send you a clear estimate.
Moving & loads
For furniture, appliances or bulk items, we match you with drivers who have suitable vehicles and agree upfront on a trip fee or day rate.
🌍 Current service areas
We are gradually rolling out across Southern Africa, starting with key urban corridors. Check in chat if Dankooo is active in your area – and if not, you can still pre-register as a driver or passenger so we notify you when we launch.
Safety, privacy & POPIA
Dankooo is designed around real-world safety and South Africa’s POPIA requirements. We keep communication clear and data usage limited to what’s needed for each trip.
🔒 Communication rules
- Passengers chat with the ride chatbot on WhatsApp to request trips.
- Passengers may receive the driver’s WhatsApp number for trip coordination.
- Passenger numbers are not shown to drivers unless a passenger messages first.
- Web chat keeps numbers hidden on both sides; all messages stay inside our system.
- We never sell your data or use it for marketing without consent.
⚖️ POPIA & responsibility
- Dankooo connects passengers with independent drivers – we don’t own vehicles.
- Passengers must verify the vehicle, driver name and number plate before getting in.
- Dankooo is not liable for accidents, injuries or property loss, but we do help investigate incidents fairly.
